毛織物の聖地、愛知県津島の「瀬尾毛織」にて、限界まで高密度に織り上げた至高のウールデニム。
タテ糸には光沢を湛えた上質な綿を、ヨコ糸にはウォッシャブルウールを配し、艶やかな質感としなやかなハリコシを共存させた。
その深い藍色は、江戸後期から続く藍染の産地・埼玉県羽生市の伝統的な「本藍染」の色彩をルーツに、あえて色落ちしない現代の染料で再現。
過去への敬意を「永く美しく纏う」という合理性へと昇華させた。
デザインは、80年代のDCブームを彷彿とさせるレトロでいて新鮮なフォルム。
深い股上とゆとりのある腰回りから、裾へと直線的に描かれるテーパードシルエットが、現代の「気配」を形作る。
A supreme wool denim woven to its physical limits of density at "SEO KEORI" in Tsushima, Aichi—the sanctuary of Japanese wool textiles. By combining lustrous, high-quality cotton for the warp and washable wool for the weft, we have achieved a coexistence of elegant sheen and supple resilience.
The deep indigo hue finds its roots in the traditional "Hon-Aizome" (natural indigo dyeing) of Hanyu, Saitama, a renowned center for indigo since the late Edo period. We have intentionally recreated this historic color using modern dyes that resist fading, evolving a respect for the past into the rationality of "enduring beauty."
The design captures a silhouette that feels both nostalgic and fresh, reminiscent of the 1980s DC brand boom. With a deep rise and a relaxed fit around the waist, the straight tapered line toward the hem defines a contemporary "atmosphere" (Kihai).
